I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress.
Psalm 32:8 Living Bible
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalm 19:8-11 KJV
The world is tempted to set aside the Word of God (and God) as irrelevant. But when God wrote the Bible He knew very well what kind of world you and I would be living in right now. He knows the world we live in, and He knows how we can survive living in it and still be faithful to Him.
Because He loves us so much He gives us His Word to help us…
…remove confusion—about what’s right and wrong and about how we should act and live.
…keep away from the traps of Satan—lying and cheating and greed, amongst others.
…to be saved from the consequences of sin—which can discourage and depress us.
…see our place as His son or daughter (His prince or princess) in His kingdom.
Don’t let anyone ever convince you that God’s Word doesn’t have anything to say to you today. That’s a lie! Whenever you wonder what to do in a situation, or what path is best to take, know that God has given you the best answer of all—the only true answer—in His Book. No textbook or professor or scientific theory or explanation can reveal the truth, integrity and power that the Word of God gives to us.
